Service was very slow, after ordering happy hour cocktails we were told they werent on the happy hour menu and would have to pay full price, then after saying we didnt want them were told they had already been made so the waiter requested that we be charged the happy hour price as we were not told they were not included before hand. After he asked the manager the manager refused and threw the drinks away instead which was shocking. Another order of cocktails were made and came after we were almost finished with our food. The seasoned fries were basically plain fries with a pinch of seasoning, the soft drinks were very small even though they were almost 3. The only bit I enjoyed was the wings but wouldnt go back.
Will never go back again. Hospitality from management was completely appauling. Our vegetarian meal was not complete as stated on the menu. When trying to explain to the manager he scrambled our cutlery plates and dish. Walked off without a apologies. Then we got overcharge for a drink costing 17 and a 6 service charge. Called the manager back again and explain the situation, asked him to remove drink and service charge. A quiet evening at the bar not busy at all.
Food is good but service is terrible and has been for a few years now. Waited 8 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and ask if we wanted a menu. Old lady with a pony tail kept prancing around on her phone, ignoring customers deciding to flirt with the young bar tenders instead. We had to get our own cutlery, napkins and order the same drink twice. Tess was the only member of staff who was courteous. We refused to pay the service charge on this occasion.
Anyone, anytime, any day. Love this place. A sure get for an evening. Absolutely fantatsic food. A real shame about the booking policy now online as it takes card charge, and the price per minute to call is extortionate. But if your looking for an atmospheric place to go any day of the week...this is it.
A nicely decorated venue at which you can get good tasting food and a variety of drinks including cocktails.Length of service can depend on the time of day you go; it seems to be quite popular with the "after work crew" so it can be quite busy. The atmosphere is warm, there's music played in the background so conversations are not drowned out. There's seating both inside and out; the outside seating is shielded by a large canopy and the space tends to get used even in less than warm weather. Satay Bar is well worth a visit.
